Keeping Together In Time is a sweeping narrative of human history, from the earliest hominins to the present day. Drawing on the latest scholarship, author David Christian offers a panoramic view of our past, present, and future.
Christian begins his story with the origins of life on Earth, some 3.8 billion years ago. He then traces the evolution of humans, from our humble beginnings as apes to our emergence as the dominant species on the planet.
Christian's account of human history is not simply a catalog of facts and dates. He also explores the big questions that have shaped our understanding of ourselves and our place in the universe. What is the meaning of life? What is the nature of time? What is the future of humanity?
Keeping Together In Time is a thought-provoking and inspiring book that will challenge your assumptions about the past, present, and future. It is a must-read for anyone who wants to understand the human experience.
